History was made at the 'Wood on Saturday with our 1st XI securing a third KCVL title in as many years. We have had two previous period of success in League One.
Between 1996 and 2001, we came 3rd three times and 2nd three times.
Between 2005 and 2008 we came 2nd three times winning the title in 2006.
In 2019 we regained division one status and finished 3rd. Covid distrupted the 2020 season.
We won the title in 2021 and have retained it since. Testament to the skill and dedication of our 1st teams squad, and reflects the wider organisation of the club on field and off field to ensure we have excellent facilities and environment in which players thrive, including our 2nd XI who have played copmpetitive cricket at enjoyed two promotions in three years. This has meant that when players have been needed in the 1st XI, the 2nd XI squad has been able to provide players of the right calibre.
A special mention to our bowlers, Johnny Wylie (who got another home Fifer), Ben Cleaver and Dru Tunstall who ended in the top six of Division One bowlers with Johnny third overall, only two wickets behind top place.
Congratulations to all our players - and enjoy your end of season break!
